Meet the Team
David Miller
Director
David is a Chartered Civil Engineer with an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering. David is also an incorporated member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a member of the Engineering Council and a fellow of the Geological Society of London.
He formed DAM in 1987 and has 36 years experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering within the UK.
Dave Calder
Technical Director
Dave joined DAM in 2016 after five years working as a geophysicist in the marine seismic industry. Dave has degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Geophysics and is responsible for all of our geophysical services, taking each project from planning through to the survey works and then final reporting. Dave is pushing for greater integration of geophysical methods into our Phase II site investigations and in the civil engineering sector as a whole.
Stephen Milne
Senior Environmental Scientist
Stephen has been part of the DAM team for the last 12 years. In that time, he has contributed to a diverse range of projects located across Scotland with recent projects including Dundee Waterfront’s Riverside Regeneration, Waterfront Plaza Leith and the Queen’s Quay regeneration at Clydebank. He has an extensive background in contaminated land and more recently has been focussing on design and implementation of remediation strategies including gas protection measures.
